URP’s Roxborough Agricultural Unit is Going & Growing Places. The team has restructured its operation to see the increase in production by over 100% at its Roxborough Estate and Nursery; and a plot at the Goldsborough Estate. URP Roxborough is definitely the go-to place for farmers and residents in the community who are in need of quality seedlings and organic produce.

 

In preparation for the rainy season, the Unit has tilled a larger area of crops. In the ground now, there are close to 20000 holes of plants to include cassava, sweet potato, flavour pepper, ochro, plantain, pumpkin, pigeon peas, and paw paw.

The team also attends to banana and cocoa fields, lettuce, patchoi, celery, kale, chive and a variety of seedlings.

 

Overall, the mission is to develop the best food production model worthy of being replicated in other areas of Tobago.
